Hi, I'm John Rocha.

I'm a British Photographer based in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria where I've lived for some years.

I've been a photographer for a long time. A long time before digital imaging but I've made the move from the darkroom to the lightroom.

I love the extra freedom which digital gives me to experiment and create the images I pre-visualize.

A lot of my photos are aimed at the editorial and stock markets but I love to create images which are more self-expressive and hopefully will appeal to people who love photography as much as I do.

Over the years I've chalked up hundreds of publications and a few awards so I hope I'm doing something right.

Although I shoot a lot of color nowadays I became a photographer when black and white mono was the only realistic option and I still retain a love for mono where the quality of light is so important.
